November 24, 2015 - Clear dark purple. Nose is kir, oak, Very rich and plummy, almost stewed. Tomato, black cherry liquor. Thin, somewhat bitter tannins. Not integrated, still pleasant but past prime. Improved slightly with an hour or so of air.

December 17, 2013 - Very dark ruby color. Figs and hazelnuts on the nose. Lots of chocolate on the initial palate. Fine-grained tannins balance the fruit nicely. Rich, full-bodied palate but not overbearing or unbalanced. Sweet, but not cloying. Long, harmonious finish.
