March 7, 2024 - Amazing upon PnP. But losing a lot of magic by the hour. This is a PnP, give 30 minutes of air, and then take it down in a few hours sorta bottle. Still, with that, great enjoyment to be had.

February 1, 2024 - Almost 10 years since my last bottle. Showing some age, and a little heat on the nose. A bit disjointed out of the gate, but seemed to come together with about 30 minutes of air. The Grenache took center stage again, with lithe, candied red fruit and some rustic notes from the syrah. Not sure if this will improve, so I likely will drink up the rest of mine.

January 6, 2024 - Fourth time tasting since May 2019. It has softened and improved and is now fully mature and excellent. Dark and opaque, prominent GSM aromas and flavors, now at its peak. I think it will be excellent for a few more years but definitely ready to enjoy now.

July 13, 2023 - Oh my! My nose is overloaded by the aroma of this wine. Huge intense complex fruit and lasts for 10 minutes on the palate. Amazing how all these flavors blend yet remain distinct. Aired for 4 hours.

June 25, 2023 - Decanted for one hour. Aromatic nose of ripe black raspberry, cherry, gamey meat, spice and forest floor. Black raspberry, red cherry, vanilla, spice and forest floor on the palate. Very long finish. Full bodied. Decadent in style. Served with apple smoked pulled pork sandwiches.
