January 22, 2024 - A very vibrant and powerful nose of berry-cherries and anise, with a long finish of the same. Incredibly, there was a touch of spritz upon opening and this might have actually helped? In any case this is still going strong and quite elegant. Reminds me of some old Joseph Swan PNs.

August 11, 2018 - Perhaps all these people who drank this wine when it was only one or two years old should practice patience. At eight years old, this wine is singing. It is rich and with a slightly anise note along with dark berry on the tongue, and a slightly medicinal (but not in a bad way) nose. A very complex set of flavors, with a long and herbal finish. Thre's a lot going on here without any real breathing time...

February 9, 2014 - Pale red color. Herbal/stems on the nose with cherry pit. Lovely vibrant red fruited palate with sharp acidity. Lengthy finish that adds a little depth to the narrow palate with a meaty/savory note. Very nice young Pinot that should improve over the next 5yrs or so. 91+

    November 30, 2013 - Color-nice pale burgundy
    Nose- dark cherry
Palate-mild dark fruit, a bit of cherry.

This is the second day for this wine. Popped and poured and the first glass was not good. I decided to let it sit a few hours and the second glass was markedly better. The third glass about an hour later had not changed. Corked the remainder to try the second day, and oh what a difference. The nose and palate are so much better now that I am enjoying the wine.

I experienced the same thing with the last bottle of PG I had a month or so ago. The next bottle I open, I am going to have one little sip and them save the rest for the next day. I will sample a small glass about four hours after opening to check in but I think these just need a lot of air.

April 15, 2013 - Rotating Dinner Series-2010 Oregon Pinot Noirs (Aquitaine, Chicago IL): Nose: This is very tight on the nose with earth tones, dark red fruits, cherries, and spices poking through.

Taste: Medium bodied with medium+ acidity. The tannins are fairly taught as well with pretty tones of earth, dark red fruits, and spices.

Overall: There is something really good underneath here, but right now it isn't too giving.
