June 23, 2020 - One glass. Oak, old cellar, spices, vanilla, black pepper, curry, roasted meat, demiglace, mushrooms, ginger cookies. Round, profound, potent; all I look for in an old sherry wine.

January 4, 2019 - Dark ruby, full bodied

    *PRODUCER's NOTES

Palomino fino grapes give birth to a generoso wine made and aged in oak casks for over thirty years using the traditional Jerez method.

Dark mahogany, with elegant, heady aromas; this oloroso bears the characteristics of the oldest soleras. On the mouth, it is smooth and velvety.

A nice aperitif. Great with sweets after a large meal.

July 1, 2015 - Quite an old, regal wine, round and rich without any sweetness, though touches of butter, but none of the bitter herbiness you get with many older wines (which I also love). Very plum, fig, chocolate, walnut, with lots of glycerol.

May 15, 2014 - Former Sacristia range with a new design, with this bottle time stopped for a while.
Vivid mahogany colour with watery edges.
Aromas from cask invaded the room. Nutty without any sweetness. Complexity to the limit on the nose.
Glycerine on your palate. Long aftertaste. Persistent and unforgettable.
Definitively a gem so why to ruin it with a bloody plastic closure? Any reason Sanchez Romate bros.

August 16, 2011 - Part of Iberia business class catering.
Mute nose at first cause too Cold. When warmed, lovely nutts aromas with nobile woods and bitter butter. More a Palo Cortado style than a real Oloroso. So strange. Evenmore, has to ask for the bottle if a confussion had happened. It has the OL identification in the neck. Anyway, a gliceric, Rich yet armonious Sherry but in any case a great drink.
I have better memories of Sacristía range.
