July 27, 2023 - Amazing Rose! At its peak near 13 years of age. Light red, pinkish color. Meaty, cherry, spicy, herb bouquet. Smoked meats earthy flavor. Really complex Rose that has aged remarkably well. Almost a light red wine character.

May 1, 2016 - Long night of drinking and unfortunately no formal notes taken, but this was something!! A medium pinkish / orange hue with substantial fruit, this isn't your weekend backyard poolside sipper, actually held up after drinking through the '12 portfolio of LAW Estate wines and a 2013 McGah Scarlett. 92+

April 13, 2016 - This was opened at home and drank right away. The wine was clear and quite a dark orange (and a hint of brown) for a rose wine. There was a strong nose of honey along with some overripe grapes both on the nose and in the glass. The wine also had a taste of red cherries. This bottle was slightly hot to taste with a surprising bit of tannins to it. Tonight, this SQN was almost like a very light red wine as opposed to a rose wine (which I guess is what a rose wine is in actuality).

January 10, 2016 - The only revision to prior tasting notes is that this seemed slightly softer than we remembered. Year aging, bottle variation, different meal...? Dunno, but it's still delicious.

September 7, 2015 - Drank with DeCiccos at our bbg last nite. Had this wine a year ago and my notes are mostly consistent. Very dark, almost purplish in color. Fragrant nose of berries. Bigger bodied than I recall, but still quite meaty and gamey with lots of fruit on the palate. Spicy and round too. Fascinating example of a rose, and quite different than any I've ever had. Quite hot too, but that didn't detract from enjoyment of this wine as much as it might have. A big, round, earthy wine with wonderfully complex elements that could easily hold its own with most dishes.
