May 14, 2013 - Tasted at the Carlton Winemaker's Studio when a great couple from Akron Ohio offered to share a taste of a bottle they purchased. Nose: Medium-plus expressiveness, plenty of nice red fruit still apparent, undertones of earthiness and mushrooms, a slight swirl revealed some nice spiciness - seemed to give something a little different with every sniff. Palate: Still a lot of life here as the fruit is still vibrant, the acids are still very apparent here meaning there are many more years of great drinking ahead for this wonderful Willamette pinot.
