December 20, 2012 - Bottle decant for an hour. Very well balanced. Not too oaky. Depth and complexity. Nice finish.

October 9, 2012 - Ripe and sharp tannins, astringent, vanilla and butterscotch aromas, black cherry and anise on the palate. Nicely weighted, medium to full bodied. Had with a T-bone steak.

May 11, 2012 - A bit awkward at present. Cassis, bell pepper, blackberry, forest scents, cedar, plum, and a little incense on the expressive nose. Blackberry, plum, spice, cedar, vanilla, and earth on the palate. Powerful but somewhat astringent, which affects the midpalate. Good finish though. Good acidity. Plush mouthfeel. Overall, this is nice, but feels a little off at the moment I would wait 1-2 years before drinking another bottle.
