April 1, 2017 - Last bottle. Drank the prior two bottles approximately 2 1/2, and three, years ago. Color of medium dark red. Scents of raspberry, red cherry and blackberry. Tastes were consistent with scents, but it was monotone sweet fruit.

September 20, 2016 - Black raspberry, earth and spices on the nose. It's been almost four months since my prior bottle and not a tremendous amount of change. Remains medium to full bodied and still needs an hour open to fully come together. All blackfruit upfront, mostly black raspberry followed by more tart blackfruit notes of black cherry and plum. Wine has good finishing structure and acidity dominant length. Also a very nice burst of black cherry which lingers. If you enjoy fruit forward, I'd drink within the next year or so, but the wine does have the fruit and structure to evolve beyond that style.

September 10, 2016 - Solid medium bodied Pinot with good acidity, minerality, and good finish. Nose could have been stronger

May 25, 2016 - Blackfruit, earth and spices on the nose. Perhaps a little over medium bodied and as a previous reviewer has noted, much of the hyper-jammy raspberry and plum notes have integrated well with time. Took about an hour from opening to fully integrate. Still shows black raspberry and plum upfront, but they're much smoother and rounder than my prior bottle (September 2015). A bit more on the tart qualities of black cherry and strawberry and nice finishing length. As with all Loring wines, the fruit is the main attraction here and this wine delivered without being over the top. This bottle came off as more balanced than my prior one, but given how quickly this has evolved (in just 8 months), I would drink these in the next two years.

May 13, 2016 - Brian makes his wine to drink young but this wine is spot on here. It's developed nicely and much of the heavy plum fruits that often pervade his wine have blown off. It's a lighter Pinot (at this age) and I found it to be elegant (not the word I'd usually use for LWC wines) and well-balanced.

May 10, 2016 - Another flawed bottle purchased at an online auction website with no recourse. Caveat emptor.

September 28, 2015 - Starts off as a very big (14.7%) really fruit forward, jammy style. But be patient and give it about 90 minutes or so and it smooths out and integrates and balances out nicely. Strawberry, floral and earth on the nose. Wildberry and plum upfront with a large amount of richness and depth. Finishes with black cherry and spices. If you like fruit forward or jammy, almost zin-styled pinots, drink this now. If not, based on what this wine showed after a few hours open and the hidden elegance - it's worth holding for a few years to see what happens when everything really comes together. For its style, this is an extremely well made wine.

September 21, 2015 - Smoky sweet fruit, little cola, and little herb. Balanced, nice structure, drinking well. Not my usual Pinot, but I really liked it.

February 27, 2015 - Bright red color and deep cherry fruit with a little strawberry. Not overly plush, but still pleasant across the tongue. Almost had to think about the oak to notice it, but enough there to do its job and build some structure and a nice finish. This is a good example of what I like about the CA style of Pinot without pushing the experience over the top.

6/21/2016 Still happy with the fruit and nice mouth feel. Got a bit more of the oak this time, but overall still very short finish.

December 3, 2014 - This wine has the DNA of a Loring Pinot. Mouth coating with rich cherry fruit like a cherry pie, bolder spices of nutmeg, cinnamon and black pepper and a bit of smoke meat. Nice lush medium length finish.
