December 3, 2016 - Very good with meat
August 6, 2015 - Pretty weak effort at a Zin. For the price or just a couple dollars more, you can do much better. This wine is acidic, with a lot of bite. To us, it was hot and had dominant tart berries flavors and not much else. We've had multiple vintages of this entry level Predator and they all seem to have these same characteristics. Maybe for some, this is good, but not to our palates. We won't be trying any Predator again. It is consistently not what we are looking for in a low end Zin.
April 17, 2015 - Light, unremarkable. Not a typical heavy bold zin full of ripe berries and pepper. More a lighter, good with pizza, zin with some tartness in the flavors. Not a bad wine, but not typical.
August 29, 2014 - A good basic Zin. This bottle seemed a bit tired compared to others I've had. Nice spice and good red fruits. I've seen high variation in price--under 9 its an ok deal, at 15 there are far better Zins at comparable prices.
July 6, 2014 - PnP at BarBQ. Deep, dark purple/red. Mature nose/taste. Big, full bodied, fading fruit, barnyard, forest floor, ripe, extracted. Slight bitter tannin finish. Over the top, drink now. Gift.
November 29, 2013 - smoky, some berries, love the start, so so the finish, spicy
October 16, 2013 - Not a real rich zin but enjoyable a bit spicy and good QPR.
August 1, 2013 - - Garnet color.
July 15, 2013 - PnP, last tasting of night so maybe not a fair score. Clear, deep dark purple color. Classic Zin nose/taste. Good drinking window, good w/after dinner cigar. Nothing off. Gift.
February 10, 2013 - Meaty and smoky zinfandel. Decent if you enjoy that style. Would pair well with barbecue/meat.
