September 21, 2014 - Yellow gold, restrained nose of vanillin oak and in this vintage fruit that drifts to the riper tropical side, sustaining acid backbone relatively lacking, thus suggest drinking near term, this bottle off list at restaurant so provenance and/or storage issues likely impacted this ordinarily superlative wine's performance

September 4, 2014 - PnP. Light gold. Lovely nose of ripe peach but with a mineral component as well. Medium weight on the palate, excellent balance, and enough acidity and minerality to keep this interesting. This has evolved very nicely and is drinking very well at age 5; SC Mtns. continue to impress with interesting Chards and Pinots.

August 31, 2014 - - Yellow gold color - Nice yellow gold color. Well balanced with bright refreshing acidity.

July 14, 2014 - This was a wonderful bottle of wine. It has a bigger, fuller flavor profile than some may be used to or enjoy, but it was certainly our style. This also makes for a good choice for heavier meals. Don't be afraid to put some age on this one. This '09 is still drinking nicely. I have a '10 that I'm looking forward to now. Mount Eden Vineyards makes some really high-end Chardonnay, but this is a third lable and not from their estate vineyards. It's still a tasty wine, though.

April 12, 2014 - Citrus, light oak, mineral with a nice finish. Very enjoyable!
