January 11, 2019 - This was very disappointing. Dried ripe fruit character and mostly secondary elements, with some leather and soil. Kept trying to enjoy it but just unable to.

December 31, 2018 - NY Eve tasting of 6 wines: floral and vegetal aromas, olives, moss, and toasted notes...nice complexity. Flavours of roasted coffee beans, leather, red licorice, spices...tannins still present...feeling of umami. Full-body and firm...needs food. Long finish. Evolved nicely as evening progressed. Average score from six tasters: at first, 87...climbed up to 90 during the evening. Hold 'til 2020.

December 31, 2018 - PnP at a friends house. Soft, easy to drink. Outshined by the 2014 GTS that we consumed alongside.

October 5, 2018 - Drinking amazingly now. Decanted for an hour. Had with Pittsburgh style Filet. Lusciously smooth. Superbly balanced and softly structured. A big yet approachable wine.

September 23, 2018 - I really enjoyed this bottle. Full bodied and overflowing with fruit. It has a nice spice earthy counterpart that balanced it. The tannins are smooth.
