March 16, 2014 - Deep, true cherry with a cola edge; good grip/structure; more tannic than expected, but likely due to extended maceration vs. heavy new oak (minimal baking spice aromas); adequate acidity; very nice bottling

February 18, 2014 - Lots of earthy character in the nose and palate -- this one has that terroir "sense of place" in a big way with both lush and floral meadow and dry (almost dusty) tumbleweed! Dark fruit flavor is effusive but not over-extracted -- the flavors are nicely balanced with dark fruit, lavender, sage, and mushroom. I like how there are waves of flavors that remained even as the bottle opened up further. Nicely crafted wine.

February 22, 2012 - Tasting room, 2/22. Briary and alive with notes of red berry fruit and perfume along with flourishes of sage, wild underbrush and rocky minerals that come in waves. Great presence and feel and grip- there's more beneath the surface. And a lasting finish. This should continue to develop. 92+
