May 6, 2023 - Coming back to this after 3 years. From Magnum. Opened for 3 hours. Color is ruby with age showing on rim with brown / orange tinge. On the nose: Strawberry , cherry, rose, barnyard funk, pepper and other spice notes. On the palate: Strawberry liquor, tart cherry, lots if spice notes, prevalent tannins, a bit of tar. Long finish. This is just singing and fabulous. World class wine.

December 21, 2021 - Has not budged from my 2/17/2018 note. Maybe slightly less enthusiastic -- but having said that, in a decade this will be phenomenal. No harm on having now, quite enjoyable, just know it will get better if you can resist. Decanted 4 hours, could have doubled that.

    October 16, 2021 - (Blind tasting)
Full and quite complex nose. Black and red fruit. Dried herbs (garrigue). Iron minerality. Barnyard, leather and brett. Slightly rustic.
Fullish, warm palate. Black and red fruit. Pepper. Brett and leather. Meaty and rustic. Very ripe tannins. Lacks some freshness. Verging between modern and more old-school in style. Not disturbed by sweetness.
Almost northern Rhône-like. Very good now, cellar longer if you like brett.

June 21, 2020 - Some amber in the hue and even a bit of brown at the rim.

Even after aeration and an hour of decanting, was very closed at first, but after a bit in the glass, it really opened and was quite enjoyable. Well balanced and lush. Earthy, maybe truffle or mushroom. Dried cherries and plum.

    Enjoyed to the end.
