November 9, 2013 - This wine is now ready! It opens up well after 15 minutes plus in the carafe. I think earlier reviews were drinking this gem too young. Highly recommend!

March 9, 2012 - Not particularly expressive, with swirling this reveals exotic notes of smoky BBQ, meat, and blackberry. Medium bodied, soft on the entry, with medium- acid, subtle black fruit flavors and grippy tannins that clamp down on the finish. Perhaps 6 months or a year in the cellar will allow this to blossom?

    November 10, 2011 - Look: '09
    Nose: Plum, milk chocolate.
    Body: 2% milk.
    Taste: Nice job.
Finish: I think it was around 60 secs.
    Summary: Decent 88 pts B/B+.

October 20, 2011 - Chris Cannan Portfolio Tasting (St. Regis - Washington, DC): Pretty simplistic with juicy red fruit, spices and dried red florals on the medium-weight palate. Won't blow you away, but enjoyable.
