May 28, 2022 - I agree with my last six tasting notes of the past two years. So good !! A balanced Pinot Noir from Rochioli vineyard fruit in the Russian River Valley appellation. This Pinot Noir is an age worthy wine and may have many more years of life left. Great fruit and great winemaking from Tim Borges at Portalupi.

    July 20, 2021 - Still so good !!
    Patience has been rewarded !!
I agree with all my previous notes. Perfect cork after a decade in the bottle, consumed over two days. Delicious Rochioli fruit and great winemaking by Tim Borges at Portalupi. Truly an age worthy wine. I only have two bottles if this vintage remaining in my cellar. Obviously, I can't stay away from it too long, but will attempt to resist until next year to validate my tasting notes.

June 1, 2021 - Still in a good spot !! I agree with my previous notes. Cork was partially saturated, but removed easily and cleanly. Consumed over two days, this bottle lost a little on day two. I still have a few bottles of this vintage remaining, I will revisit this special Pinot Noir again soon. Great job Tim !!

March 24, 2021 - In a great spot !! I agree with my note of just over 10 weeks ago. Cork was partially saturated, but removed easily and cleanly. Consumed within an hour of opening with friends. I still have four bottles of this vintage remaining, I will revisit this special Pinot Noir again soon. Great job Tim !!

January 1, 2021 - Yes, Rochioli fruit !! I echo my second review of just over two months ago. Still tasting extremely good right now !! The cork was perfect after a decade in the bottle. This balanced Pinot Noir was consumed over two days. Deep ruby color with no oxidation, clarity medium. Aromas of red raspberry and pomegranate, flavors of red fruit compote, rhubarb with a hint of forest floorl and a medium finish. Popped and poured, but this wine really benefited from gentle oxygen since it was much more soft and integrated on day two. A balanced Pinot Noir from Rochioli vineyard in the Russian River Valley appellation. This Pinot Noir may be an age worthy wine and may have many more years of life left. Great fruit and great winemaking from Tim Borges at Portalupi.
