December 19, 2020 - Dark color fruity nose at or past peak. Almost no tannin to match the blackberry liqueur and fruit

June 5, 2020 - Spring Fishing (The Ranch, WI): Very dark red color with a clear 4mm meniscus. PNP, drank a glass plus over 2 hours. Nice leather notes up front on the nose, cassis, blackberry liqueur, and graphite. The palate reflects the age and vintage showing a more port like character at this point. Blackberry liqueur, full bodied, fading black fruits, leather, oak and some heat bleeding through on the mid and back end. This still holds up, but no doubt was better a few years ago This still has some dry tannins and comes off more rustic as the fruit has tapered off and fights the alcohol now. 14.8 ABV on label. 89+ to 90pts.

May 9, 2020 - What's with all the fruit? Beautifully smooth

May 24, 2019 - Still a huge, young wine. More settled and integrated than the last bottle, but a touch too cherry for our palate. Not youthful, nor anywhere close to peak or mature. This is an archetypical Cali Cab fruit bomb. There is plenty of ripe fruit, but insufficient acid or backbone to make this a great wine.

December 9, 2017 - Largely consistent with previous bottle. Definitely needs 30-45 minutes to open up. Still fairly youthful and big
