December 23, 2022 - Rutherford dust on the nose and palate, but lacking the fruit accoutrement. Still worth a sip though.
October 3, 2022 - very garnet color. suave dark berry fruit aromas. chewy medium tannin. palate shows more maturity with earthiness. very pretty aromas, but the palate is more awkward than i'd like. fine, but wanting
October 3, 2020 - Nice nose. Smooth, cassis, berry flavors, not a lot of texture or finish. Drink now
December 5, 2017 - This bottle was quite off - not ratable. There is a strong green, vegetal tone that is unexpected and unwelcome.
November 25, 2017 - Sipped on it for about 6 hours. Peaked in hours 2-4. Was one dimensional by hour 6. Probably a 91 at its best but ended at an 88.
July 29, 2016 - Similar as previous note but tannins have softened up and integrated now. Enjoy!
June 1, 2016 - coffee and chocolate nose. Muted cassis in a silky but thin package. Coffee, chocolate and tobacco notes. Good acidity. Short finish. Whole feels like less than the sum of the parts. May just be suffering from drinking some other amazing wines lately.
February 24, 2016 - Solid but not great Napa cab. Big bodied, decent balance, not that complex. Lots of cassis. Some earthiness. Decent finish
February 5, 2016 - Eye: Deep purple
Nose: Plums, blackberry, cassis and oak
Palate: Black fruit, cigar box with firm tannin.
Overall this CA cab was full of flavor. It could use another 2-3years to integrate its tannins. Nice effort, enjoy!
March 8, 2015 - Lovely deep, rounded dark fruit. This is coming together so nicely, though will benefit from more time. One of my favorite go-to classy cabs from Napa now; suave, sophistocated and so lovely to drink. 93+pts.
