June 21, 2014 - very nice wine. Pop and pour, well integrated, matched well with bbq pork, silky, went down nice

June 17, 2014 - Dark purple, garnet. Plum nose, dry, tart fruit, light mineral, chalky, not quite bitter tannins on the PnP, 89. Fresh acid dominates the fruit and tannins. Another night and shows great improvement. Well balanced with tart tannins accenting the fruit, more toward the red currant, pomegranate with a velvety mouthfeel, very good. Sublime tonight, but gone. Went up a point per night after opening. Hold longer.

April 2, 2014 - Dark ruby, nose of cassis & blackberry. Dry, light tannins with medium fruit. Good on the PnP with nice acid, fruit and tannin balance, blackberries, loganberries & some brambles. This starts where the '08 leaves off after a day. Fruity, but not overly so, tart red currants, some vanilla cream undertones. A very pleasant wine, much better with food. This has the bones to improve and drink well for many years.

April 13, 2013 - Drinking very well in April '13. Great color, a bit tannic on the mid palate, solid with Italian food.

Aged in French and American oak (18% new). 13.9% alcohol. 184 cases produced. Sample provided by winery.
