March 6, 2018 - Had a little funk to blow off but an hour slow-ox created something spectacular. This was very much alive. Most of the sweetness is gone but there was a wonderful burnt toffee aspect that spoke of sugar decades ago.

light mahogany color; smell of rancio, polish wax, very little sweetness left..
on palate it tastes like a decent sherry plus black tea; shows quite a bit of acidity at the finish.
Spent, but still drinkable, though not very attractive. The food did not make it much better..
Ater 90 minutes in the glass it became more interesting; more sherry-like with lots of oxidative notes.

September 18, 2014 - Domaine Huet Vouvray Masterclass 1934 - 2007 (West London Wine School): Deep Amber, almost brown. Rich nose with sugar, syrup - creme brûlée. Citrus note on the palate, glycerine, sweetness but with a dry finish.

March 14, 2013 - Amber to orange colour. In the nose very complex with coffee, brioche, caramel, orange jam. Very elegant and deep. On the palate with very strong acidity, hardly any sweetness, tingles the palate. In teh finish, there's coffee, caramel and tobacco with herbal notes. Simply excellent.
