March 5, 2019 - Had this after an oxidized 2003 Chamboureau Savennieres. This was much more like it, with all the funky, oily textures chenin and Savennieres in particular on show. Medium bodied, nicely textured wine that still hasn't hit its plateau (A-).

    October 30, 2018 - Light straw yellow
    Non aromatic
Dry, barely oxidized apple pear flavors. This is very well balanced and absolutely lovely right now.

Aging well. No rush at all

April 26, 2018 - Apparently my last bottle. A lovely, fresh, fragrant bouquet, and then wonderfully balanced in the mouth, plenty of time ahead. This is incredibly light on its feet for 14 percent, really a delight. My overall experience of the 2008 Loire chenins has been very positive, despite generally poor reviews.

October 7, 2016 - I thought JonnyG's note described my bottle well too. I didn't take notes, but I thought this was still young, but there was a nice texture to this wine and the deep, nutty/funky/wooly character that quality Savennieres wines have. Great balance, freshness and intensity too. Great now but should improve in the medium term (A-).

May 30, 2016 - Even better than my bottle last summer. The nose shows spring fruits that give way to a palate that is marked by freshness, salinity, and a stunning clarity, despite the heft of fruit that is so present. It lingers and dances on the tongue with honey and peach and quince. Finishes with acid and energy. Really focking terrific!
