April 10, 2023 - Splendide intensité du bouquet fait de vanille,fruits rouges (cerise,framboise),épices douces...C'est vraiment enivrant et exaltant...La bouche embraie sur cette très belle impression avec une structure forte,bien présente mais tout est délié:le vin se livre totalement,les tanins sont fondus,le fruit est magnifique.Longueur appréciable.Ce barbera est tout simplement grandiose.
July 18, 2020 - Attention getting nose; beautiful ruby color with no sediment; black raspberry on the palate with some acid and a lemon rind twist on a modest but pleasing finish.
Paired nicely with pasta and a basil/tomato sauce.
April 1, 2020 - Mid ruby colour with a browning rim. Aromas of wet bark, liquorice stick, moist earth/compost and sour cherries. There is a softcore of fruit with a red cherry paste or pastille, medium in weight, vibrant acidity, making the wine feel tart yet fresh, but then a syrup overlay creeps in showing the wine evolution. It has seen better days. Luckily the last bottle.
November 3, 2019 - Time to drink it up. Fruit is gone. Full of acidity.
June 23, 2019 - Fruit forward and straight forward. A bit flabby and not very complex. Age did nothing for this eine.
June 15, 2019 - Perfect now w great balance. With Kalamata olives and Parmigiano Reggiano.
July 21, 2018 - Mid+ to deep ruby. The aromas are classic red sour cherry combined with chocolate, a sort of Black forest gateau; then some tertiary undergrowth, touch liquorice and black olive. Medium weighted with a rasping acidity and sinewy texture the flavour bounce between cranberry and cherry to bitter chocolate and red bush tea. The ripe fruit is supported by the zing of the acidity that gives a lovely length of flavour with an appealing flow on the palate. Not that complex or intriguing but a delicious wine to drink right now.
December 29, 2016 - Nice ripe dark berries, blackberry and a balanced dose of oak. Fresh and a bit spicy. Balanced with nice tannins. A great buy!
September 17, 2016 - Finished the bottle in five days. surprisingly it was still going strong until the last drop. Will probably age my last two bottles a little longer.
June 17, 2016 - Bright, cherry, light-bodied, balanced. In a good place. Drink up.
