August 27, 2016 - ruby, pleasant cassiss aroma with a little funk, faded black fruit flavor with a little alcohol heat, zippy surprising complex finish with decent tannins and acid... at $8 this wine is an interesting paradox of near-virtue and disjointedness; wish I had bought a case rather than a bottle because I miss the old world style

September 3, 2015 - Liked very much by the missus. "Its the best $13 dollar wine I've ever had." Nice complex fruit. Better than most $50 bottles of wine.

December 20, 2012 - Medium to medium full bodied. Mouth coating, with some tannins, dry. I would mistake this for a Bordeaux. It has a "chalkiness" I find in some Medocs and St emilions. At 12.99 I think this wine is a helluva buy. The fruit is plumish, not totally distinct but definitely cab.

October 22, 2012 - Grippy, more serious than it seems. I want it at $9.99 but not anything higher.

October 3, 2012 - Had a hankering to try some wines from Lake County and started here. This is a pleasing, good value wine, if simple. Subtle plum on the nose. Deep red color. Fleshy plum and dark cherry on the palate. Supple with some oak notes on the finish providing modest complexity. Pleasing to drink and good for the price from CA. Better than many California AVA designated wines at a similar price point and nice that it is an estate fruit wine from an interesting AVA.
