February 20, 2016 - Showing some age and real complexity; lovely.
January 30, 2016 - Turned. Poured it down the sink.
May 17, 2015 - Drinking very well. Nice complex notes. Darker style, more full bodied style. Great structure! Very nice funish. I like this wine at this stage- but it will continue to benefit from bottle age.
May 15, 2015 - Getting even better.
September 13, 2014 - PHMG WAG: Tour de France 2014 (Chateau Lyon): Nice QPR in a Chenin. Apple, white peach, and some citrus notes dance with the minerals and stone/flint. Without being amazing in any way, it still leaves you in a nice state of "ahhhhh..."
July 17, 2013 - This is absolutely delightful stuff! White stone and flowers on the nose with a hint of sweet honey. The palate is really refreshing, dry citrus but with a slightly sweet hint of blossom. Really, really lovely.
May 16, 2013 - Wine Education Service - The Loire Valley (Imperial College): Barley sugar nose.
Honey attack, then dry with a bit of fruit, a serious wine, full and with good length.
March 6, 2013 - Very good. Dry and complex with a full flavoured palate. Straw, apple, citrus. Well rounded.
February 27, 2013 - Honeydew, medium acid, apple. Very good
January 18, 2013 - Beautiful, slightly off dry Chenin. The nose is vibrant and full with notes of creamy apple, lees, and mineral followed by hints of nuttiness. After a it opens up a bit, there are distinct oat and honey notes reminiscent of Honey Nut Cheerios. The palate is a mirror of the nose with creamy apple and lees up front, followed by a rocky mineral spice from mid to rear. The finish has a lovely honeyed note.
While there is good acidity at present, I'm not sure it's enough to carry this for any more than a couple years.
