May 25, 2019 - rating is for day four, first two nites it was 90 then 91... opened up slowly but surely over the four days, and def'ly very intriguing fruit (more than earlier, but still reserved a tad) and some really cool surfboard wax, almost perfumed flavors on day four... wondering if I should let these (my 3 add'l bottles) sit for 5-10 years??... regardless I would decant in the AM for a dinner drink

November 8, 2018 - Zambuni Jadotfest 2018 (La Trompette, London): Full garnet. Akin to the 97 but a little more relaxed and feral even. Caramel too. With air this fattens and sweetens and shows more generously than the nose might have led one to expect. A touch of exuberance even. Previous bottles have been variable, but this one is top of the range so far. ****

April 7, 2018 - No notes taken, and consumed 2 weeks ago, but I really liked this. Detailed and delicate yet with the kaleidoscopic flavors of maturity. In a word: Lovely.

March 10, 2018 - Bright ruby to mid garnet. Lovely nose of bright cherry fruit with some development around the edges and a sappy core, this opened up to something quite lovely and impressive with sufficient polished cherry fruit to penetrate even my honker in its current colder and hay-fevered state. Texture too. Class will out. This has steadily moved through the gears over the past three or four years and is now a solid four star delight. ****

October 1, 2017 - Alive and full of personality. Beautiful perfumed nose. Layers of mature red fruits, spice box and earthen funk on the middle-weight palate. Shimmering acids and a lightly tannic afterglow, everything seamless and integrated yet clearly delineated. Pretty special.

(Louis Jadot Beaune 1er Cru Clos Des Ursules) Burning leaves, dark cherries, and wet earth on the nose. Concentrated and deep with tremendous ripeness. Silky tannins. Very nice.
