October 29, 2023 - Agree with Nanda, this is drinking perfectly right now.

August 6, 2023 - Pop n' pour and this was singing. Beautiful perfume of strawberry and cherry laced with toasted herbs and spice. The palate is so elegantly refined with intense earth, spice and herb notes. My preferred elegant expression of BdM.

March 20, 2023 - A day 2 glass from a vertical tasting yesterday, and my last bottle. This is showing much more like the 2005 today than it did yesterday - ripe black & red fruit, a touch of alcohol on the nose. This was a little more buttoned down yesterday. Decent acidity on the palate - fully mature, IMO.

March 14, 2023 - Dinner with the wine group (Zazie's, San Francisco): Significant sediment despite standing up for easily 2-3 months. Last 4-5 oz was cloudy and drank separately or discarded. The rest: Medium ruby, slight bricking; aromatic, rose petal, red cherry; palate is medium bodied, red fruited, elegant, medium-plus acidity, a bit of forest floor complexity, tannins fully integrated and barely perceptible; finish is medium-plus length. Nicely balanced, ready to drink, and obviously a good wine though for me stops short of a great one. If I had more, I would drink up as these do not seem likely to improve. 92
2 hours air: way better. An exceptional spice on the nose which is new, floral, roses; incredibly elegant, floral on the palate too which is a bit odd in the best way (like eating rose candy); finish is medium-plus length with excellent fruit and spice. Now this is getting into great territory. 94
Day 2: still drinking well, though not better than yesterday.

January 8, 2023 - In a good place after a 3 plus hour decant. Elegant with long brooding dark red fruits and a finish that goes on and on.
