March 19, 2015 - Some days, you open a bottle of wine, take a sip to see what it needs, and realize you have just stumbled upon perfection. This was one of those days. One of the best I've ever had upon opening, and it continued to improve. Full, rich, round mouth feel. Integrated fruit (black cherry, some plum), leather, pepper, soil and some must. Mellow tannins. Smooth finish. Sedimentary and leggy in glass, and thoroughly enjoyable. Our last bottle of Fjellene. A pretty great way to end it.

March 11, 2015 - A tasty and very nicely done wine. Needs some more bottle age to really come into its own. The nose has lots of dark fruit, smoked meat, floral scents, and hints of vanilla and spice. The palate is full, rich, and smooth with a delicious finish. This has development potential still for sure. Good to drink now or can hold for several years easily

December 9, 2012 - Dark purple in the glass with a beautiful bouquet of cassis, graphite, violets, and vanilla. The wine is very well balanced on the palate with very silky tannins. The finish is fantastic as the flavors slowly fade over almost a minute. A great wine that should be well worth following over the next 6-8 years.

(Fjellene Cellars Reserve Proprietary Red Wine Wallla Walla Valley) Medium ruby. A moderately aromatic, complex wine with herbal tones, cherry, raspberry, floral notes, and rosehips. The palate is understated, tightly coiled with fresh red and black fruit flavors and lively acidity. Lingers on the finish. 50% Syrah, 50% Cabernet Sauvignon. Yellow Jacket Vineyard. 50 cases produced. 14.4% alcohol.
