September 5, 2021 - Epic Bordeaux for an Epic Birthday!; 9/1/2021-9/12/2021 (Paris & Bordeaux): Also out of a mag and part of our Bordeaux purchases which included only champagne and burgundy and actually no Bordeaux. Paired with pizza which is a surprisingly nice combination (even if St Emillion perhaps could use an enterprising pizza person who makes a better pie). Very young as you might expect.

January 2, 2021 - Out of Mag, this started out somewhat tight and a bit citric but opened nicely as it warmed. Agree with the bruised Apple comment, as this has some telltale signs of the warm vintage but good crispness. (93-94)

December 1, 2018 - My third bottle in 14 months. Settled down after 10 minutes and showed only better over the 1-1.5h we followed it. Hefty and really complex stuff. So much going on. Golden and bruised apples, dark yellow fruits, coffee, sherry, tobacco, honey, oak, almonds, vanilla touch and smoke... Still there is a tension and freshness to the wine that is quite mind boggling. Long finnish. Bit rough edges first 45 mins, but from then smoothened out turning out more of its Burgundian side - including a bold and sweet oaky note. Think this wine has more to show, perhaps 2 - 4 years imo. Captivating stuff. 94-95p.

August 4, 2018 - Even better than my bottle almost exactly a year ago. Nose like a mix of well aged, white Burgundy + Hermitage, with some smoke. Rich, ripe yellow apples and citrus, hints of honey, almonds, sweet tobacco, Lots of freshness and vigour left in this bottle. Super balance. Super long. 95-96p
