June 8, 2016 - Really gentle tannins now. Perfect with NY Strip.

November 1, 2015 - Very well balanced. Silky texture. Lots of blueberry and blackberry jam, some cherry. Nice pepper and spice. In a nice place, but I would still give this some more time.

March 26, 2014 - Really delicious. Poured immediately after opening. Tannins were refined. This wine had plenty of dark cherries, a little chocolate. Not a "big" knock your socks off cab but thoroughly enjoyable. Could say it was a bit thin but honestly I thought it was just right. I enjoy Sojourn's Spring Mtn cabs very much.

December 7, 2011 - Decanted for about 90 minutes before drinking with grilled burgers. Aroma of pretty strong oak, as well as blackberries and some coffee. Taste has blackberry and some dark chocolate. Definitely showed best after a few hours in the decanter, but there did seem to be a slight thinness on the palate at that point that makes me wonder how this will be in a few years. Regardless, it was great right now.

September 24, 2011 - This still reminds me of a dialed down version of Pride in terms of intensity. While those wines smack you over the head with a hammer, the Sojourn displays more grace. For me, this is a good thing. Very pretty nose of sweet cassis, red fruits, underbrush, and bay leaf; the most feminine nose of the bunch. Full body, although the lightest, and like those that follow, silky smooth in the mouth. A beautiful mouthful of fruit as the nose would suggest with well a managed structure. Picks up some chocolate covered cherry on the finish. Very nice and a step up from the '07.
