March 15, 2023 - Found like 7 or 8 bottles of this at my local liquor store, which for the record, I never would recommend buying ur wine at a corner liquor store, because of the storage, but I thought I’d roll the dice… about half of the bottles have been excellent half not. I suspect the bottles that were to the front of the cooler in the liquor store, near the light were not good, and the ones in the very cold, in the darker back of the row of wine in the cooler, preserved better…
Anyway, 17 yr old Chardonnay from Marin!
Get outta here!
This was such a gem!
Vibrant acidity, crisp apple and pear!
minimal oak influence..
Still bright straw/somewhat golden in color, but by no means looking 17 years old(the bad bottles were browning in color)
A very enjoyable experience w some local chard
