September 15, 2018 - This my style; maybe not everyone's style, but I loved it. Had some age too it, but not too much by any means. Huge 1-minute + finish. Great wine!

January 26, 2018 - Wow. Bottle hsd seeped at one point. Didn't hurt this a bit, in fact I think it made it more approachable now as the previous mint bottle drank quite young and needed an hour of air. Started off restrained but clean with no ox, and went from a light yellow to a young honey gold while it took on more weight, structure and even acid balance. Quite impressive on all counts. 1 hour later it was still singing. Don't be quick to drink these, and give it at least an hour in a decanter. Saving my last for it's 30th birthday.

December 27, 2017 - Post-Christmas Blinds (Chez Nanda): Served double blind. Pretty clearly a white burg with some age - question is, how much age? And is this naturally oxidizing or pre-mox? The nose has rich mature white fruit, light honey notes and roasted nuts. Mature, but still appealing and attractive. I really enjoyed the complexity and richness of the palate. Almost decadent with layers of the aged, dense white fruit while still having freshness and verve. A terrific mature white burg. At 20 years old, I'll go ahead and say this isn't pre-mox and showing nicely given vintage, producer and vineyard.

December 27, 2017 - Blinds at Rich's (Chicago, IL): Served double blind. Upon tasting this, I joked then actually guessed 1996 Jadot. This was certainly advanced, though not premoxed. Perhaps one might call it oxed? Nutty, apricotty, and quite thick in texture, not unlike the 1962 Bourdy I had recently. This had some honeyed qualities as well as some classic chardonnay acidity. Honestly though, it was more impressive that this wine had held on so long than the wine was enjoyable.

July 18, 2017 - Wow, a classical Batard. Golden colour, nose almond and butter. Taste complex, tertiary tones, stone fruit, walnut, good acidity and minerals, fullbodied mid-palate with velvety long finish. Changing over time. Total a point. Very, very fine. This is what mature Batard is about, I have had some dissapointing premox with various wines with this producer in the past, but this wonderful.
