December 31, 2020 - Remarkably well balanced after an hour of decanting. Blackberries, leather, dark cherries. Late peak.
June 14, 2017 - P&p. Fresh sharp aroma like crushed cherries and boysenberries sprinkled with thyme and lavender. Similar flavors; heavy, sappy dried herbs/garrigue, maybe too much at first but with some palate acclimation it works. Good acidity contributes to cohesion and lift. Lingering sappy thyme/garrigue. Characterful with tons of typicity; a bit of a thymebomb but enjoyable for what it is.
December 4, 2016 - Pnp through Nuance Wine Finer. Dark plum color. On the nose, dark fruit, a little raisin, a little spice. On the palate, light tannins, smooth up front with dark fruit flavor. Spice on the long finish. Very interesting for the price point. 90pts. Aloha!
September 11, 2016 - Better than previous bottles. Just a whiff of prunes. Enjoyable.
July 31, 2016 - Unchanged from last note. Drink up or, better yet, make sangria.
November 21, 2015 - Plum and raisins at first and a bit hot. After two hours open and in a decanter started to smooth out. More prunes. I will wait another two years before opening next bottle.
January 5, 2015 - a bit more plum and raisin than previous bottles, but after it opened for two hours this had a complexity and finesse that was quite appealing. well balanced fruit, spice and earth.
March 12, 2013 - Really enjoyed this wine and great value for the price. It seemed a little young and I'm looking forward to seeing what some age does to the other bottles.
