September 1, 2012 - Complex nose of red fruit, dry prune, vanilla, black pepper and a floral note. Dry and tannin on the palate, this full bodied wine is filled with raspberry, cherry and spice. Needs time but nice wine.

September 24, 2011 - Medium purple color. Full-bodied. Lots of black fruit on the nose, as well as some heat. On the palate, black fruit (black cherries, blackberries, plums) and some dust and cloves. Nice lush flavors, supported by nice, crisp acidity. Well-balanced; plenty of tannins, especially evident on the finish. Best if decanted at least an hour.
