July 21, 2016 - Garnet color, highly aromatic, powerful flavor of intense fruit (cherry, blackberry, plum, oak, spice) off dry, medium acidity, complex, full bodied, nice balance but only an average finish.

October 25, 2015 - Decent bottle, but for the price there is more out there that is better. Not much of a nose, earthy dusty pallet with little fruit with a thin short finish.

August 19, 2014 - Decent wine. Light to medium(-) body.

March 7, 2014 - The 2006 Chateau Chevalier Cabernet Sauvignon rates as 87 points with the CellarTracker community. Wine Spectator does not have a rating for the 2006 vintage of this wine, but rates the 2005 and 2008 vintages as 83 and 85, respectively. I align with the CellarTracker rating of 87. Cabernet sauvignon is a grape that enjoys many great vintages from a multitude of wine producers. While a rating of 87 is not particularly impressive, it is a decent score for a random occasion red wine, which appropriately fits the 2006 Chateau Chevalier Cabernet Sauvignon. However, at a price point of $30 per bottle one is sure to find better cabernet options. This wine would be a good deal in the low $20 range.

Rating Scale: Extraordinary (95-100 points); Outstanding (90-94); Very Good to Excellent (85-89); Good (80-84); Average (75-79); Below average (70-74); Avoid (50-69)

Note: Cost reflects base price only; it excludes any taxes and shipping.
