July 22, 2021 - Medium red color. Rustic nose. Medium tannins with minimal fruit. Seemed more like a Super Tuscan or Barolo than Napa red blend. Medium minus finish. I think this was past prime, but still nice.

June 12, 2021 - 2hr+ decant. Dark red color. Nose has cherries, pencil shavings, and burnt cedar. Wine has nice flavor, but lacks structure and depth. Medium finish. Love the French influence.

April 3, 2020 - Matthiasson Red Wine 2003–2008 (Tucson, Arizona): Mushrooms, spice on the nose. Figs on the palate, very pretty balance of red and dark fruit, crisp tannin layer, delicate frame of acid.

December 28, 2019 - Beautiful red fruits and spice along with earthy herbs nuances. Silky smooth, no hard edges. Elegant and not over the top with ripeness as there is plenty of acidity to keep it balanced. In the zone, drink now - 2023 for best results.

December 16, 2019 - 1hr decant. Dark red color. Might be just past prime. Very bordeaux like. Finish is solid but a little biting. Can’t go wrong with this!
