April 8, 2017 - Drinking well with cherries, cocoa, a bit of earth. Fully integrated medium tannins/acidity.

December 5, 2016 - Nice red cherry throughout, moderate length. Good but not overwhelming acidity, which I sometimes get from traditional Sangiovese and soft tannins. This is drinking quite well at the moment, and should for some time yet.

August 13, 2016 - Alcohol integrated nicely and this wine is just a tasty display of juicy, dark red berry fruits, spices and toasty oak.

January 17, 2015 - PnP, and had with home made pizza. Wow!!!!Wine is in its sweet spot right now drinking beautifully. Modern style, takes the sour cherry of Sango, and wraps it in some dark chocolate. Excellent acidity. Best bottle I have had in a while. Iron fist wrapped in a chocolatey velvet glove. Delicious...Mrs. Coupe also thought it great.

Only bad thing is that it was my last bottle. Repeat to self, try to exercise self control and hold onto your Kaella orders instead of drinking right away...

October 3, 2014 - Brought to a cocktail aprty. Only had a bit, but this is drinking very well right now. Cherry and spice, and tasting real nice. Mrs. Coupe was raving about it.

(Kaella Winery Sangiovese Ciel du Cheval Red Mountain) Medium ruby. An aromatically appealing wine with dusty cherry, raspberry, chocolate, and earth. The palate is tart with a big blast of acid that runs from start to finish. Pair this one with some food to bring it into check. 100% Sangiovese. Aged in second fill French oak. 15.2% alcohol. 25 cases produced.
