August 24, 2020 - Nose classic northern syrah. Violets. Bacon fat. Blueberry. Black pepper. Plum. BlackBerry. Palate similar Incisive acidity maintains great freshness and lift. Dang this is great. Very long finish. Hits on par with some cote rotie. Has those brighter charms. Wow.

August 9, 2020 - Too COVID tired last night to do a detailed tasting note. This wine was wonderful with barbecued ribs, dry rub not sweet. I remember an intense floral aroma, grilled meat, coffee, classic northern Rhone. Lovely balance of fruit and acid and aromatic tannins on the palate.

September 7, 2015 - Complex aroma of leather, smoke, aromatic blueberry. Lively acid sweet fruit on the palate with floral afternotes. A lovely dancing wine. 50 + 17 + 16 + 8.

June 6, 2015 - Opened about 4 hours before serving. Very dense and dark blackish purple to a deep ruby at the rim. Fragrant, classic northern rhone aromas of cracked white pepper and dark fruit. Very dense velvety texture in the mouth, fresh and long. This is very classy. Long, complex and compelling ****1/2
