June 17, 2019 - Last of two bottles in the cellar. Most all the edges have been worn down with time leaving behind a perfectly balanced gem of a Cabernet. Plenty of life left in the bottle if you have one laying down still. Went very well with grilled ribeyes for a nice Fathers day dinner.

September 21, 2015 - Great Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. I enjoyed every aspect of this wine. It was very enjoyable to drink. It was a wonderful gift from a friend. I would've been hard pressed to shell out that kind of money on the front end unless I had tasted it first, but all in all it delivered.

March 16, 2013 - Amazing wine. Full bodied, fruit forward and ready to drink now. No bad tannins or aftertaste. Perfect!

October 19, 2012 - Beautiful with food. The Cab Franc is showing itself really well right now, and adding some nice flavor to Bookwalter's style. Cocoa / chocolate continues to be part of the palate.

November 15, 2011 - Tasted at release party. This wine is the Incredible Hulk version of Protagonist. The syrah adds a richness and tannins that makes this more of a monster. A gorgeous wine that I won't touch for at least 5 years, probably longer.
