July 20, 2022 - This one surprised me! Drinking really well now. Lots of depth, complex nose, and long finish.

March 20, 2021 - High neck fill and cork came out in one piece. Almost a mahogany color in glass. Fading rims. Earthy bouquet almost Burgundian. Good fruit on palate with lightly tannic finish. Making old bones but fading. A few particles of sediment. Drink up!

January 19, 2020 - Another good bottle. Give it a 30 minute decant and the fruit emerges. Blackberry, menthol, earth. Not especially complex but quite nice to drink. Probably time to drink this one but it isn’t going downhill now.

January 2, 2019 - Well, I couldn’t wait 4 years since the last bottle but I got as far as 19 months. This is indeed opening up more and although still plenty of tannins the fruit is coming more to the fore. Nice dark cherry and menthol flavors, with finish of tannins and nice acidity. I still think this is years out from optimal drinking but it is quite tasty now and certainly drinkable now. I bet it gets better though.

December 4, 2017 - Still drinking well but I am afraid it has peaked as the aromas and flavors have decreased a bit.

May 30, 2017 - Just starting to open a bit. Still deeply tannic and closed, but some cassis and syrupy fruit now edging through. Still a longer term keeper, but at least some progression now. Keep 4+ years

May 13, 2017 - This is why we love this wine! Bought for $15, aged for 8 years, and now's it's worthy of a 90!

December 31, 2016 - Very very firm and still tannic. Not sure what to think of this. I will wait for several years on the last couple bottles to see where this goes.

December 4, 2016 - This bottle didn't taste shut down, just an average Bojo with red fruit and earth, light tannins/acid drinking past its prime. No flaws just aged.

October 21, 2016 - Dense and balanced but ponderous like heavy net. A decent purchase--and I held it this long to acknowledge the age worthy vintage--but not my style of Beaujolais. If I had another I'd hold it five more years; has the stuffing for it and maybe some of the tannic structure would dissolve.
