December 24, 2022 - I rarely drink sweet wines. But every once in a while I buy one and stick it in the cellar and forget about it and then pull it for company ten years later and it's become either really special or undrinkable. This is the former. Mostly secondary or tertiary flavors w loads of dried Turkish apricots, some flan, oolong tea, but also still some fresher white peaches coming thru. Bit of briskness to it. Delicious.
January 19, 2018 - Last bottle, alas. Fabulous. Deep orange-gold. Smells like kruskovac (Croatian pear brandy), flavors of pear, pineapple, banana, ginger. Lovely balance of sweetness and acid. Hard to imagine it will get better than it is now.
September 26, 2015 - Delicious, and a fine partner to our cheese plate at Heirloom in CH. Vibrant, fruity, good acidity. Ridiculous bargain at $6 in PA.
February 24, 2013 - Sweet apricot and peach. Medium body. Caramel comes in on the finish.
December 22, 2012 - Perhaps something wrong with my bottle. It was 30 ml short of 375, and smelled and tasted like diluted with water.
March 25, 2012 - Very enjoyable - hard to put a proper note at this point in the evening
Plenty of fruit on the nose, honeysuckle, a little sweet for my tastes but not cloying, great bang for buck from PLCB
December 15, 2011 - A private lunch (The Members' Restaurant of the House of Representatives, The Hague): Deliciously crisp and sweet, lovely fruit, muscat, relatively simple but very enjoyable.
