  March 27, 2022 - Followed for about 4 hours in the decanter, the 83 Ausone never really finds its way to being anything more than a pleasantly fruity wine, full of mixed blue and red berries, a sprig of mint, and not much else. Vaguely charming, if thoroughly unambitious.

  November 1, 2021 - Brick red. Delicate nose. Red fruit, spice, tobacco. Subtle but lingering in the mouth. Tertiary complexity layered over fruit sweetness. Tannins faded away, with the acidity keeping life in the old bones. Drink up. (92 Very good wine)

  September 3, 2021 - Epic Bordeaux for an Epic Birthday!; 9/1/2021-9/12/2021 (Paris & Bordeaux): One of the wines I was most excited about for this trip as it's a producer that I really love and a great year. This was also a bit young although not as much as the Burgundy. Opened and decanted. Drinking nicely with a bit of air in the glass. Some darker red fruits that are just shy of being sweet. A bit of cigar. Very enjoyable.

  June 25, 2021 - Medium+ nose intensity with notes of mint, peppermint, flora. Still tasting fresh with red/black fruits. Medium+ acidity and medium tannin. Finesse and smooth at the palate.
