September 10, 2023 - Didn't take notes when I enjoyed this last night, but this was great. Rich (and just a touch towards the off dry side of things), with notes of butter, buttermilk biscuits, and pear. Acidity wasn't high, but was sufficient. Bubbles were vibrant but not overpowering. If I was taking notes, I probably would've scored this 92 or maybe 93 points.

January 26, 2022 - Method: pop and pour; 48 degrees; Grassl Mineralite

Look: deep straw; several steady streams of bubbles

Nose: pear pastry, lemon zest, light pine, bread crust

Palate: pear, yellow apple, biscuit, faint white cherry, mineral/chalk, baking spice after some air; long- finish of bread crust, chalk; dry; medium- body; medium+ bubbles (not especially fine) that finish with a nice froth; medium acidity

Overall thoughts: It needed some air (a bit closed on pop and pour [89 points]), but once it opened up, it was nicely expressive, tasty, complex, and had a nice mouthfeel. Great wine.

October 26, 2021 - "Baby Masseto" and a Night of Nebbiolo through the Decades (Charlotte, NC): Aromatic nose of apricots and green apple. Fulsome on the palate, light lemon and caramel flavors; medium+ acidity, creamy mouthfeel with a delightful yeasty bread note. Balanced and complex with excellent structure. An outstanding sparkler that continued to evolve throughout the evening with crisp flavors providing a fabulous contrast to many heavy and aged Barolos consumed on this night. Top marks.

October 6, 2018 - Amazing, one of the best late disgorged offerings from Schramsberg I've ever had. Toasted nuts, brioche, a hint of citrus. The effervescence is fantastic. Very well balanced acidity and body.
