April 7, 2022 - Last one of a case of six. Have been drinking these bottles since 2016. Almost one per year. Pristine cork. Antique gold colour. Decanter not needed. Tropical aromas of pineapple yogourt, very lactic and soft. Greenish flowers too. On the palate still showed acidic yet textured and quite long. Savoury with a delicious oxidation aftertaste. Absurdly below 90 points at this point. I wish to have six more.

June 9, 2020 - Enduring that rabble decides on our lives ... Pop and pour. Steely with notes of thyme and wild flowers. No tropical influence and full splendor of royal jelly and candied lemon. Perfect balance between density and acidity. Mellow with a decent length and pleasant aftertaste bitterness. Always a safe recommendation but this time of a higher quality than what you suppose in a village wine.

October 22, 2019 - 4th of six. Keeps its good evolution. Meringue-lemon tart strikes back on the nose. Sweet lemon soda too. Deep and plenty of sense. Mature chassagne offering a nice, clean acidity and a delicious, long aftertaste. Still firmly recommended.

September 24, 2018 - Extra long aromas of sweet cream, candied citrus, cinnamon muffins or subtly tropical fruits even. Very quiet, with elegance. Very Chassagne.
On the palate is how it has to be: dense and overwhelming. It retains a delicious almost sweet acidity and a bitterness that provides long seconds of pure pleasure. Good balance between voluptuousness and freshness. It still has class and it is NOT just a trap for beginners.

March 7, 2017 - Very evolved for a seven years old stuff. Once again on the nose appear those memories of lime pie with meringue. Very definite but somewhat monotonous and simple. Sorry.
Instead in the mouth it has a dense, fatty texture that provides an abundant, satiating character. Acidity is completely tamed and aftertaste is simply delicious.
My next bottle, sooner than later.

August 4, 2016 - Closing Summer Season before Holidays? (Restaurante Garcia de la Navarra - Madrid): Worse thing? That artificial yellow colour.
However the aroma of this bottle, once airy, was the star : hazelnuts , white flowers, buttery notes , ... all in harmony and well integrated.
Similarly on the palate it was opulent with enough depth and length. No evidence of wood even though it is well known that this "village" is mainly destined for the US market.
    :-)

July 14, 2013 - Relative to my prior note, this showed substantially more oak on both the nose and the palate. The pleasant underlying stone and floral elements were still there, but altogether I found this less balanced and more brusque than my previous experience. The acidity is still solid and persistent, keeping this from becoming too flabby. Nonetheless, I would hope for more bottles like the prior one and less like this, given my druthers.

June 24, 2013 - Yellow green colored. The nose show nice things such as citrus, salted butter and hay. It also reminds seaside. The palate is quiet but fair with mainly oak acorn. A little oily with nice acidity. We can give it some time.

March 28, 2013 - Medium maize color. Intense, concentrated, layered nose of honeysuckle, key lime, pavlova, freshly-cut grass, salted butter, and limestone. The palate is a bit one-dimensional by comparison, weighted heavily towards the back of the mouth. There's a wave of round, oaky richness punctuated by an acidic, stony pop at the end before finishing curtly. Concentration is still there, however. This is young, so it may need time to come out of its shell. Lots of promise, certainly one worth revisiting in the back half of the decade.
