April 19, 2023 - PNP. Full yellow. Mature nose bordering on premox, but I don’t think it is. Deep tropical nose, some stone fruit and cream. Big palate, rich texture and a touch of peach and apricot fruit. Has some acidity on the finish. Really quite nice after the initial premox scare. Pairing this wine with some very ripe epoisses might have contributed to the good showing, as every white burgundy tastes better with epoisses!

April 8, 2023 - Easter Saturday (Chicago, IL): From half-bottle. The best bottle of this I had. Very much freshness, despite a more old-school, thiccer texture. Slightly peachy but with plenty of lively acidity (served blind to others, they thought it was maybe 7-8 years younger than it actually was). Good weight and breadth on the palate; this half-bottle seemed like it had a good few more years in the tank.

March 9, 2023 - From half-bottle, under DIAM5. Consistent with the previous two bottles -- a little fatter and richer and less cut than the best editions of Lamy out there, but more than amply delicious to drink now. I'm not too keen on holding these for too much longer either as I just don't feel this has significant upside, especially in this quarter-magnum format.

February 21, 2023 - From half-bottle, under DIAM5. Quite fat and rich, and certainly lacking the cut and delineation of the 2017 that I had yesterday. Rounded, ripe stone fruit with a bit of alcohol that sticks out on the back end. Good but not great.

January 29, 2023 - From half-bottle, under DIAM. No premox (or oxidation) but showing signs of getting a bit long in the tooth. Interesting ester-inflected nose and some moderate herbal tinges. Ripe and rounded on the palate, lacking the raciness of more recent bottles of Lamy. No reduction either, but a fair bit of oak. Relatively simple but tasty enough.
