October 28, 2021 - Not the best aged 1999. Ruby color with signs of aging. Nose of earth, black and dark red cherries, spice, leather and stewed fruits. Light entry on the palate but builds volume mid palate and finishes spicy with notes of leather and black fruits. Tannins still gripping. Not bad but would rather get a younger Grand Cru with the price.

August 22, 2021 - Cork intact pristine bottle. Deep ruby red some signs of aging on the rim of the glass. Nose of black and red cherries, earth, game and baked tomatoes. Viscous in texture the wine attacks the palate with some rusticity but then expands mid palate and envelops it with beautiful red fruits. Medium bodied and subtle and a very soft finish. Will hold on for a couple of years to my next bottle and retry.

A red Burgundy at his peak, everything is in balance, soft tannins, vivid acidity, primary and tertiary aromas in balance. 94-95

91 pts

November 4, 2019 - Wet leather, wet forest, truffle, red fruits, liquorice, spices, long finish, high acid, long finish, medium+ body, youth, garnet. Tasting at Domaine Trapet guesthouse with Damien.
