June 10, 2020 - A blend of 80% Roussanne, 15% Grenache Blanc and 5% other varieties, 14% ABV. Medium straw yellow with a pale golden touch; wonderfully open and expressive nose, honey and elderflower, spices and minerals, butter and apple, ripe lemon; broad and concentrated palate, lots of extract balanced by firm but ripe acidity, floral lift, warmth and gentle grip from the wood; excellent resonance and length. Completely ready but with time in hand. A star performance. At Rijks Wine Bar, Amsterdam, NL.

January 26, 2020 - (out of a smaller bottle). Tasted after a vibrant Queensberry Chenin Blanc from New Zealand, this taste felt slightly tired, but also lacking in a bit of freshness. There is still an admirable aromatic profile, and uncommon expression of flavour on the palate, but there is a hint of drying out on the finish. Very golden in colour, the wine feels as if it is entering its final stage of development. (89-?)

January 19, 2020 - Final Summer Meal with Rob and Gord (Wanaka Wedge House, Queensberry, Central Otago, New Zealand): Mature, opulent, intese. A touch of oxidative aromas dos depth to the green papaya fruit, oily texture, and intense structure. The alcohol was into way intrusive. A complex and gorgeous wine.

March 17, 2019 - Stunning showing. Opens quite developed on the nose and palate (but with extraordinary fruit power), this is the essence of mature Roussane. Toffee, vivid fresh cut pear, nuts. This is hugely engaging, and the cut pear suggests a mature Amarone to me. Rich and opulent, sweet mid-palate, long and nuanced finish. Superb - like a dry Sauternes in the mouth. High alcohol is under control, and is absolutely an aspect of the overall impression. This will continue to develop over the next decade, but i would suggest keeping an eye on it. 93.

August 19, 2018 - Don't often drink whites from Rhone, but not sure why as I really enjoyed this.

Still fresh, but no longer lean, this was full-bodied, waxy/oily in feel, tending towards ripe melons, peaches and tropical fruits. So wonderfully balanced that the high alcohol was not noticeable at all. really opened up over the course of the night and probably should have spent some time in a decanter. Would definitely buy again.
