    April 20, 2021 - PNP.

A spectrum of red fruit on the nose; cherry, sour cherry, red licorice/spice and even wafts of dried fruit.

There's something chalky on the palate that lingers through, more of a mouthfeel than the fine tannins present. Cherry and strawberry in abundance pick up spice and blood mid-palate and finish with a hint of spearmint.

With an hour decant, [edit] earthy tones emerge and this fleshes out to a nice mature CdP. Seems more elegant and less muscular than a bottle I opened several years ago, but not on the downside at all. Drinking very nicely now and could probably hold a few more years, but I wouldn't peg this for a long-termer.

February 10, 2021 - Popped and poured for a Facetime session with friends. Impenetrably deep purple. Dried dark fruit on the nose. Full bodied, well rounded. Notes of black fruit, black berries, licorice, violets, pepper and spice. Lingering finish. Ton of sediment in the bottle, might pay to decant next time.

December 25, 2020 - Checking in on an old favorite for Christmas dinner - and we found the wine to be enjoyable but markedly different 5 years later. We decanted this 2010 Cuvee Papet 3 hours and it needed every bit. There were firm tannins and layers of CdP flavor: red and black fruits - esp. dark cherry - alongside gamey notes and pepper, with the latter more prominent this time than the fruit. The wine is drinking well and no bottle issue today, but I think we just might prefer these powerhouses on the younger side because the fruit then was so rich and vibrant. Anyone else having similar experience with 2010 CdP, or other vintages for that matter?

November 17, 2020 - An excellent wine with moderate tannin and light red fruits, but wildly overhyped by "RP" (he gave it 99) as age worthy, which it is not. It has some old-vine Grenache characteristics, which I really liked, but it's more akin to a lighter Languedoc-Roussillon style and probably not going to last beyond 2023. Drink it now!

October 17, 2020 - Decanted for 3 hours, maroon colour, intense nose, plums, licorice, pepper, dark ripe fruits, cedar, full bodied, rich, good balance, dark chocolates, fine tannins, not at its peak, maybe in 3-4 years
