    June 28, 2019 - The 2010 Usseglio has everything I associate with CdP from distinct dark fruits to a variety of fragrant spices and well balanced tannins. The wine was opened about 2 hours before we drank it with a hearty Italian meal that the wine easily overpowered and became the focal point of discussion during the meal. I hesitate to give any wine a 100 point score, but this is that good.

    March 29, 2019 - Enjoyed with main course of dinner. Cigar box and ash with aged black cherry profile. Enters with a slight mint character. Ample weight as well. Complex as can be. Middle shows plum, figs, dates. Finished more round and supple. Tannins are rather soft at this point but I think this could go another 7 to 10 years or so.

    March 17, 2019 - P&P - and full disclosure, I had quite a bit of pre dinner festivities so not in the best frame of mind for a detailing the wine. That said, this was big, complex, and well enjoyed at theTornardo Steakhouse in Madison WI.

    December 23, 2018 - Tonight it is just plain deliciousness...Sous vide duck breast crisped
    With port orange reduction... slow roasted duck fat potatoes and
    celery root apple purée
    So with that as a backdrop....wine is a burst of blue/black fruit
    With the acidity and minerality and complexity of stone and fruit and terroir that is just exquisite!!
    What a dinner, what a wine!,

    November 25, 2018 - I love it. Dark purple and full bodied, It has a wonderful bouquet of flowers, dark and red fruits on the nose. It fills the mouth with incredible flavors of dark fruit, chocolate and so many other amazing flavors, and it goes on forever. Simply wonderful.
