November 28, 2019 - Thanksgiving week in Piemonte; 11/22/2019-11/30/2019 (Milan, Barolo, Alba, Barbaresco): From the wine list at Dulcis Vitis. Our ritual of the nightcap to our nightly dinner while in Piemonte - tonight the sommelier's convinced us to try one with a touch of age. While this good I am not sure it was worth the additional tariff to add the age - these are all about light and refreshing so the age is less of an advantage in my opinion.

November 28, 2019 - Piedmont II - better and learnings; 11/23/2019-11/29/2019 (Barolo, Alba, others): Every night we have been ending our day with Moscato because it is light and easy and almost acts as a digestivo. This was not that. It's more complex, more different. Hint of almost an oxidative note to it. It's a touch less totally sweet. Almost a hint of petrol. I think it was very interesting for what it was, but not totally sold on it for the end of a big Piedmontese meal where what you want is a bit less.

March 7, 2014 - Terroir: In un qualche modo simile al precedente, più intenso e più compatto, un po' saponoso poi menta e lime, letteralmente un Mojito. Lunghissimo, caldo, avvolgente, rinfrescato dalla menta.

October 1, 2011 - Annual Pilgrimage to Piedmont; 9/30/2011-10/2/2011 (Piedmont, Italy): The restrained or more serious moscato! We believe this sees some barrel ( but not sure). Colour is slightly darker. Nose is restrained less playful, more serious and balanced. Lacks the freshness of Saracco or spinetta and tries to be a more grown up version. Very interesting and we look fwd to trying older version of it. Still this is not a substitute for a fresh vibrant moscato but a different chapter in the book. Very enjoyable and well worth it. 90
