September 24, 2020 - Still holding up nicely. It was a fun experiment to lay this down for a decade, no need to hold it longer. Plenty of fruit and good structure.

March 23, 2020 - Thought this was going to to be well past its prime, but it was amazing and velvety smooth with mature set of tannins. Had to decant because of fair amount of sediment. Cork had also deteriorated but did not impact the quality of the offering. Full flavored with dark cherries, blackberries, and currants, with a slight hint of cigar and leather on the finish

March 21, 2020 - Xmas gift Barb Pearson 2012. Drank from Bin North 18. Drank with Crystal and Aline. Hint of oak on nose. Dark purple. Dry chaulk presentation with stone oak finish. No fruit. Past prime. 2/10.

October 6, 2018 - Velvety smooth. Very little in the way of tannins. It is in a good place now.

October 1, 2018 - Bought a 12b case about seven years ago from a local retailer for 15/b after 40/case mail-in rebate. Shared half with a friend. This is my second bottle. Decanted with normal sediment for its age. Rich, dark color with no amber; subdued nose, modest if any fruit--corked? Will try again before long. Stored horizontally in a cool, dark basement since purchase. My evaluation: I've stopped giving scores on a "100-point scale" as I've become less convinced that they can be meaningful to others. I use a 4-category scale (perhaps with +/-)--not including flawed--which runs outstanding/notable/drinkable/poor. I considered this flawed and will try another.

June 11, 2018 - This was a delightful wine. Soft tannins, cassis, briary dark fruit, some oak left but not distracting. Pulled from the 55 degree cellar and enjoyed after 15 minutes and then for over two hours. Went very well with Charcoal grilled rib roast
