October 26, 2011 - Tasted at the premiere Grosses Gewächs at Kloster Eberbach 25/9/2011. Aromatic with dark spice, black fruit and violet as well as some leather. Ample use of smoky oak. Quite full bodied with firm tannic structure. Excellent!

September 25, 2011 - Fruhburgunder is an earier maturing version of Spat. Elegant nose with violets and dark fruit leading the way to a fruity and medium + body wine. Tannins are very ripe and supple. Balanced and long.
